Do you know that the Health Promotion Board (HPB) is promoting free fitness classes for the public and funded health programs for companies in Singapore? In this blog post, I will be sharing with you 3 initiatives by HPB that can help you as an individual or your company get into a healthier lifestyle with minimal to zero cost.

1. Workplace Outreach Wellness (WOW) Program - For Companies

Workplace Outreach Wellness (WOW) Program, previously known as SME Health+, is an HPB initiative to promote healthier living for employees by co-funding up to 70% off corporate health programs. The funding covers these 3 categories:

  1. Chronic Disease Screening & Follow Up

  2. General Workplace Health Programs: Physical Activities, Nutrition Talks, Mental Well-being Workshops, and Ergonomic Workshops

  3. Targeted Workplace Health Programs: Weight Management, Chronic Disease Management, and Smoking Cessation

We are an approved vendor under this program and we offer a range of General Workplace Health Programs, including physical activities, nutrition talks, mental well-being workshops, and ergonomic workshops.

Eligibility: Companies must have a Unique Entity Number (UEN) to be eligible.

Cost: If you meet the requirements, our physical activity classes can be as low as just $85 per session/hour (no maximum pax), followed by $90 for a 1-hr nutrition talk, $200 for a 1-hr mental well-being workshop, and $315 for ergonomics.

Location: Can be conducted virtually or in the comfort of your own office if there is space available.

Expiry: 13th January 2022

2. Sunrise In The City (SITC) - For Individuals/Companies

This initiative benefits those working in the CBD area as there will be FREE fitness classes held at a number of locations open to the public almost every day. You may just need to step out of your office building to join these workouts as they are held at commercial gyms or studios nearby. This would be the best chance to pull your team or colleagues along to have a good bonding session together!

Sunrise In The City (SITC) can get quite crowded at times and with the current COVID-19 safety measures, it may be hard to secure a slot. If your company is willing to invest a little, I would still recommend your company to go for the WOW program as it would be in a more private setting just for you and your team and be able to receive quality attention from the instructor.

Cost: Free

3. Sundays @ The Park - For Individuals

Also an initiative by HPB, Sundays @ The Park are also FREE fitness classes held at the different parks around Singapore. You will be able to get a quick workout near you during the weekend. You can also get to enjoy quality time bonding with your family and neighbours.

If you and your team are not early birds and SITC is too early for you, you can consider joining Sundays @ The Park because, besides morning sessions, they have evening slots at 5pm as well!

Cost: Free
